The newly elected, firebrand and visionary National President, Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu Alumni Association, Mazi Dr. Agodi Kanu and his National Executive Committee members have taken off on a very impressive and memorable note. 

Dr. Agodi Kanu, led Executive Committee members of the Alumni Association on some official assignments recently. The assignments include facility tours of the Medical Center, New Registry, Hostels and some completed TETFUND, and Enugu State government projects for the school. As part of the tours also, the team inspected the ongoing construction works of the IMT Alumni Secretariat sponsored by the Immediate Past National President of the Alumni, Chief Dr. George Moghalu. 

Dr. Agodi Kanu, leading the team in line with the realization of his collective engagement, collective administration and collective execution leadership style targeted at carrying both alumni members and the school management along, honoured the Chairman, IMT Governing Council, Dr Mrs. Ifeoma Nwobodo with official visit.

Have you made your children, I don't mean your biological children only, instead I am referring to those Children that flock around you and your friends, including the distant ones, and the vulnerable even. Hope you are also making provision for the stubborn ones in your vicinity too? Remind them very often that unflinching desire and excessive attention on money making, without proper/adequate preparation is injurious...

 

Bring them up in the way they should go, when they grow up they will not depart from it. Among the areas to focus their attention is skill acquisition. Create opportunities that will enable them to hone their God given talents, begin to develop and showcase such as skill very early in life. Provide them also with the appropriate insight about human behavior, relationship building and teamwork, and the challenges of course. Expose them to thought provoking encounters and make them to understand early in life that real happiness is helping others. Use this to shape their vision of life, especially, their knowledge and understanding of what constitutes needs, goals and values.

The task of raising the right caliber of individuals to build both the economic and socio-political framework of the society, and galvanize support for the growth and sustainable development of the society, though the responsibility of all in the society, as many people have argued, require that the right structures are strategically put in place. It demands that deliberate and focused steps/actions targeted at attracting the commitment of some willing and serious members of the society that will be empowered with the relevant skills and properly guided to play the leading role in building the economy.

This happened at a PhD exit seminar at BSU and the student dressed this way to the presentation. The lecturers were all angry at him and began to rain insults. He stood crying as they said horrible things about him.

OPM FREE UNIVERSITY

 

I am left with no other option.

I just finished meeting with a professor and I have instructed the OPM international metron that from January 2023, No more new intakes for OPM overseas scholarship because of the over growing dollar rates.

So all those we just paid there school fees last week for Cyprus that will be traveling this month of August and those for Germany that will be traveling September are the last New intakes for overseas scholarship.

While others that are already in different universities around the world, we shall continue to pay your school fees and accommodations only till you graduate.

The months of September to December, every year, beginning from 2017, was designated by your darling Platform for service, solidarity and support for Rural Public Primary Schools, in Nigeria.  This is now extended to the Secondary schools.

CAN WE HONOUR THEM AND DISPLAY ALWAYS THE VALUE THEY PLANTED IN US, OUR DEAR TEACHERS?

COVID 19, Pandemic has unveiled new normal, and if you like to add, new abnormal. Among the things it unveiled are lock down and forced school holiday; that continued after lock down was lifted, in Nigeria. The forced school break is revealing the unprepared, ill-equipped and weak capacity of families, in the hallowed call of taking care of children of school going age. The rising incidences of rape and other forms of crime against, and perpetrated by children of school going age are common knowledge.

Very quickly, let me point out that this piece is not about the rising spate and incidences of crime. Peoples outcry against increasing cases of banditry, kidnap, armed robbery, murder and others are already in the public domain. What the people await is what and how the law enforcement agencies will exterminate or curtail drastically the already very bad situation. Before then, the lawful thing the commoner is expected to do is to volunteer what the authorities have always tagged relevant information. Whatever it means, remains subject of major debate that may never end anytime soon. I say this aware that in most cases, it is not the exhibit, or the crime that is relevant, but the personality of the criminal or the reporter.

Fire is an attention catcher, an attractive, protective, cautionary and emancipation word to followers of Jesus Christ, as practitioners of the Christian fate.  To some other adherents of the fate, the word Fire brings goose pimple, raises different concerns, best described, as confusion, fear, worry, condemnation, and/or judgment, because it challenges their conducts, integrity, morality, position, sense of worth and purpose.

From records, the present day Girls Brigade is an amalgam of originally three (3) different, active and thriving Christian Girls organizations. The Girls Brigade of Ireland (1893), the Girls Guild of Scotland (1900) and the Girls Life Brigade of England (1902), decided to come together to form the Girls Brigade, in 1965, nearly 40 years after the idea was first muted. 

The intention of the amalgamation was to strengthen their work and witness amongst the girls, in particular, and in general, promote greater care and sharing, in the World. The aim of the Girls Brigade is to “Help girls to become followers of the Lord Jesus Christ”, and the motto is “Seek, Serve and Follow Christ”

I greet you all in Jesus name.

We thank God for making it possible for us to gather here for the official opening ceremony of 2017 2^nd Plateau District Camp.

Our invited guests, despite your tight schedules, you are able to honour our invitation; you are all welcome in Jesus name.

To the Principal and Teachers of this school, we really appreciate you for allowing us hold our camp in your school. It is our prayer that God will continue to protect and provide all your needs.

To my fellow Officers here present, we welcome you to 2017 Camp of 2^nd Plateau District. It is our prayer that we will join hands together to take these girls to greater height, and help them know that God has a good plan for them.

To the beautiful girls here before us, you should know that the lord loves you and He accepts you the way you are created. You girls are special in His sight, do not allow anybody to make you feel that you are nothing in the society. You are great in the eyes of God and you are created in God’s image, to do goods works. For that reason, we as officers of this District, are pleading with you to obey all the rules and regulations of this camp. When you do so, our Father in Heaven will bless us all.
