Egede Clinton Chukwuebuka, a young enterprising Nigerian, hardworking and a people and community driven former international footballer, operating his business under the name Chuks Pacific Investment Enterprise Ltd has begun the transformation process of a beautiful but little known community located in the Rantya area of Jos, the Plateau state capital. He is doing this with a capital investment project, a fertilizer blending plant that has the capacity to produce fertilizer of all kinds. The plant is targeted at changing the economic and social narrative of the largely farming community and by extension the fortune of the farming populace in and outside the landscape of Plateau state.
Beyond hoping, desiring and procrastinating, Egede Clinton Chukwuebuka on the 21st of October 2024 took the bull by the horn and opened the fertilizer blending plant at the suburb to encourage the fast growing farming community with the highly needed farm input by locating the factory nearer to them.
The decision to locate the fertilizer blending plant by Egede Chukwuebuka at a rural community is a clear and resounding statement that the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) hold a great deal for Nigeria’s growth and sustainable development. It reminds all and sundry, of the way to go towards rebuilding the now ailing Nigerian economy and putting it back on track.

Benefits accruing from siting the fertilizer blending plant at a rural community, a less developed and less attractive investment location, by especially, a new generation Nigerian, a digitally savvy young Nigerian are many. They include a systematic reduction in self-destructive tendencies, and wastage of both human and material resources associated with exodus of people from the less fancied rural slumps to the highly favoured, more attractive cities.
Such developments gave rise to the influx of people that have no business in the cities moving there, simply because of inequitable distribution of social amenities and other infrastructures skewed by the leadership over the years to create scarcity that widens the gap between the cities and rural communities.
Egede Chukwuebuka is by his action deemphasising the movement of Lohdic dwellers and the environs to the city and encouraging idle city residents to go back. By bringing to the rural area one of the attractions that draws residents of the suburbs to the cities, he is literally decongesting the very busy, already saturated and choked up cities, and as matter of fact contributing to reducing, if not totally eradicating criminal activities witnessed regularly and increasingly mostly in the cities each day that passes.
The vision of Egede Collins Chukwuebuka in the community is huge and his heart for the people speaks volume of a man on a call, on a divine mandate to build and establish, transform and release for sustainability sake and impact, a solid foundation in the work of building people and community.
