After long hours of intensive planning meetings, called 2 times in two weeks by the partners involved in the organization of the now rebranded Annual “Tour Plateau” Tourism Event, the organizers committed to delivering a worthy, sort of talk about tourism package in the 2024 event, tagged “Tour Plateau 2024” rose after far reaching, target oriented and impact driven decisions on Saturday, July 20, 2024, with a resolve that the December 2024 Christmas package will present to the tourists and residents of Plateau State a very classic, memorable experience.
The team, which is led by a seasoned tourism practitioner, Mr. Christopher Azok, CEO Think Tourism Nigeria (TTN) Ltd, has as members, professionals and experts in other fields of endeavour, reputed in their area of professionalism and expertise that has equally made their mark, promoting tourism and tourism related activities in Plateau state over the years.
The team is comprised of individuals and corporate bodies, among them are Scoreline (the reputed Platform for coverage and reportage of heritage, tradition and culture and a leading voice in business and development oriented advocacy), FLON Diza, a Corporate outfit with deep interest in development of Heritage, tradition and culture of Plateau State through the grooming of especially, the younger generation via impact driven leadership programmes and other empowerment efforts; DACHNY Incredible Riders, led by a renowned health promotion professional, is committed passionately to achieving a self-imposed mandate of promoting good health through cycling and ensuring that cycling round the state is a reality; Jos Event, led by Nanle Greatness Longsan, a large hearted young Plateau youth that has dedicated his time passionately to promoting events in Plateau State.
The organising team members of “Tour Plateau 2024” event said they are aware of the undeniable status of Plateau state as the Home of Tourism in Nigeria and in view of this development has concluded during their planning meeting that “Tour Plateau 2024” will be richly loaded with captivating and excitingly suiting narratives targeted at arousing the interest of the tourists, residents and the State government and that of the 17 Local Government Area Councils, and is equally poised to work collectively with them towards reviving tourism and maintaining seriously the position of Plateau State as the Tourism hub of Nigeria.
“Tour Plateau 2024” according to one of the event organisers, Mr. Nnabugwu Chizoba, a development practitioner, entrepreneurship and business development consultant and a leading voice for massive job creation through opening up of the economy via socio-economic diversification efforts, says “Tour Plateau 2024” event is designed to expose the tourists to the scenic beauty and natural endowments of the diverse segments that make up Plateau state: the heritage, traditions and cultures. It is also designed to arouse the interest of residents via awareness creation and sensitization packages and processes that come with this tourism event.
Similarly, Mr. Nnabugwu Chizoba noted, the December 2024 Christmas Season event presents huge opportunities to create unforgettable and convincingly life building, job creation and wealth generation empowerment ideas, necessary for the willing, committed and truly industrious residents of Plateau state to tap into, resurrect and excavate some new, unique and rewarding economic empowerment opportunities that abound in the tourism industry in the various areas of Plateau state.
