PACKAGING WITH BRANDED EMPTY CANS OR CONTAINERS OF OTHER COMPANIES, LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD

What is happening here?

Dear Scoreline reader,

Please, take a close look at the picture above, observe the persuasion for the buyer to patronize the seller as the advert reveals.

Take note of the fact that the picture, including the advert was generated or rather culled from a Facebook wall of someone desirous and committed to improving his/her business, obviously through massive patronage by the public or the world at large.

The effort ultimately is targeted at increasing income, increasing profit and growing the business, very noble intentions, aren't they?

But I ask... What is your take on this?

Packaging with branded empty cans or containers of other companies can have several disadvantages:

1. **Brand Confusion**: Consumers might get confused about the actual brand of the product, leading to a loss of brand identity and loyalty.

2. **Legal Issues**: Using another company's branded packaging without permission can lead to trademark infringement lawsuits and legal battles, which can be costly and damaging to the reputation.

3. **Trust and Credibility**: Consumers may perceive the practice as deceptive or unprofessional, damaging trust and credibility in your brand.

4. **Quality Perception**: If the original brand's packaging is associated with lower quality or different product attributes, it might negatively impact how your product is perceived.

5. **Market Differentiation**: Effective branding helps differentiate products in the market. Using another company's branding can make it harder for consumers to distinguish your product from competitors, potentially hurting sales.

6. **Sustainability Concerns**: Using old or discarded branded packaging might be seen as environmentally irresponsible if not clearly communicated as a recycled or upcycled effort.

In summary, while using branded empty cans or containers of other companies might seem like a cost-saving measure, it can lead to significant negative consequences that outweigh any potential short-term benefits.
