INAUGURATION OF FORUM OF NIGERIA POLYTECHNIC ALUMNI ASSOCIATIONS (FONPAA) ON THE WAY

 


Proud Nigerian Polytechnic Graduates and numerous other lovers of development in Nigeria have been invited to grace a ground-breaking event, the inauguration ceremony of the Forum of Nigeria Polytechnic Alumni Associations (FONPAA).

Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, the Visitor and Chief Host of the event will be leading other Nigerians in the occasion that holds Wednesday, May 8th, 2024 at the Banquet Hall of the Merit House, Maitama, Abuja. The event is scheduled to start by 5pm.

Other notable names expected at the inaugural event include the Honourable Minister of Education, Nigeria, Prof. Tahir Mamman, OON, SAN, who will serve as the Special Guest of Honour, and the Honourable Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Ezenwo Nyesom Nwike, CON, who will serve as the Distinguished Guest of Honour. His Royal Majesty (HRM), the Maigari of Lokoja and Ezikaoche of Awaka, and numerous others are expected at the epoch making event.

The above information was contained in a statement signed by the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Nze Henry Nebo. Furthermore, the statement noted that an inauguration Paper with the title:

“The Contributions of Polytechnic Alumni Associations to Institutional Sustainability” will be delivered at the maiden inauguration ceremony of the FONPAA, holding at the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, the Nigerian capital.

The statement further reveals that the paper will be delivered by the Executive Secretary, National Board for Technical Education, Prof. Idris Bugaje. Similarly, Dr. Philip Omame Idogho of the Federal Polytechnic, Auchi and Dr. Hephzibah Dayo Oladebeye of the Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti; two Emeriti Rectors, will serve as discussants of the paper.

The event, a defining moment for Nigeria, according to the statement is aimed at showcasing the Vision and Mission of FONPAA. It will in addition to this, also feature award presentation to some distinguished Nigerians who have supported the cause of the Association. Such distinguished Nigerians according to the statement include: His Royal Majesty, the Maigari of Lokoja and Ezikaoche of Awaka, among others.
