The Nigerian Society of Artists (NSAs), Plateau State Chapter, has been having series of events to promote the Arts, culture and tourism in Plateau state.
In February 2023, the Society had a Pencil Workshop in the Zoological Garden, in the National Museum, located in Jos, the Capital City of Plateau State, North Central, Nigeria. In the same year 2023, April to be précised, the body hosted a painting and Sculpture workshop, aimed at exposing members to the vagaries of art and the economics of the operating environment.
As the tenure of the present Plateau State Executive Council (EXCO) of the NSA is coming to an end and the Chapter going to the polls anytime soon to elect new executive members to run the affairs of the Association, the present EXCO will as always do the needful and timely too. The perspective of the EXCO on this was aptly captured in the words of the highly performing, vision driven and impact oriented Plateau State Chairman of the NSA, Mr Ezekiel Udubrae, when he said “For the young must grow” setting the stage for injection of fresh blood by transferring the mantle of leadership to the young generation is a task the art industry in Plateau state is considering and is urging the NSA in the country to also take seriously.
The above not winding, the present Plateau state EXCO of the NSA has continued with her programmes and has put together an Exhibition tagged “Art Meet Dance”.
We earlier reported this exhibition in a previous publication on this Platform, and promised to publish the profile of the prominent Artists in the Exhibition tagged “Art Meet Dance” holding in Jos, the Plateau State capital, September 2023.
The first Exhibitor whose Profile will be appearing in the list of prominent Artists in the “Art Meet Dance” Exhibition, Jos 2023 is Nkeiruka Catherine Okananwa.
