Visited and climbed the100 steps to the ancient settlement of the Afizere People of Plateau State, North Central, Nigeria. Had an excellent view of Shere Hills, reputed as the highest peak on the Plateau, over 6000ft above the sea level.
The name Shere is a community name of one of the clans of Afizere. Till date in Shere District, there is a village (Ridem) where the people are living on the hills at about 3000ft above the sea level. It is believed to be the highest peak that dwellers live on the Plateau.
