IMT@50 CELEBRATION: CHIIEF DR OKWY NWODO HOSTED THE PRESIDENT, MAZI DR AGODI KANU

Leadership among other fundamental requirements involves setting of ambitious and yet realizable goals and objectives, identifying where both the human and material resource deposits needed to accomplish the goals and objectives are. It requires also the ability to harness the identified resources to create not just impressionable, but visible and lasting impact. In addition to these, it equally demands the commitment, initiative and the confidence to swim through impossible and discouraging situations, tact and the energy to hang on, meandering and pushing with very lean resources at times.

The above description according to Mr. Chijioke Chukwuani, national treasurer of the National Alumni Association, best describes the National President, National Alumni Association, IMT Enugu, Mazi Dr Agodi Kanu who presently is federal capital territory, Abuja, where operating under very lean resources he has been building networks and contacts necessary to advance the image, visibility and impact of the association, and in particular facilitate significantly successful hosting of the forthcoming IMT@50 celebration come end of November 2023, in Enugu, the Enugu state capital.

Pursuant to the realization of the above very noble objectives, Mazi Dr Agodi Kanu accompanied by the Chairman, Abuja Chapter, Engr Tony Udemba, on Wednesday, 11th October, 2023 visited the former governor of Enugu state, who was at a time the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Dr Okwy Nwodo, in Abuja.

According to Mazi Dr Agodi Kanu, who spoke to this media after the meeting with Chief Dr Nwodo, “We just had a cordial conversation”. The tone of voice with which he rendered the statement was a clear indication that the meeting was eventful. Considering that he followed this statement with “I can assure you that the IMT@59 Celebration has received tremendous support after this meeting, says a lot about the nature and outcome of the meeting.

The visit which was official presented the opportunity for Mazi Agodi to discuss with his host the forthcoming IMT@50 Celebration and furthermore share with him the vision of the IMT Alumni body, including the meager project of the association, which will be unveiled during the period of the IMT@50 celebration.
