BREAKING: ANYIM PIUS ANYIM PLAYS HOSTS TO IMT ALUMNI PRESIDENT, JOINS THE IMT@50 CELEBRATION TRAIN

The former President of the Red Chamber, the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (FGN), who is also a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), His Excellency Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, on Wednesday 11 October, 2023 in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria, played host to the President, National Alumni Association, IMT Enugu, Mazi Dr Agodi Kanu who paid him an official visit. 

The visit with the Acting Chairman of Abuja Chapter, Engr Tony Udemba, is in relation with the forthcoming IMT@50 Celebration.

Dr Agodi, used the opportunity to also brief his host about the plan to recognize, honour and celebrate the IMT Legends in one of the activities of the forthcoming IMT@50 Celebration, tagged “Meet the IMT Legends”. He also intimated his host about the proposed meager Project of the Alumni due to be unveiled during the event. The visit to the former Senate President is part of the four days official visits to dignitaries and critical stakeholders in Abuja.

The President’s visit to the former Senate President is part of the four days official visits planned for execution by the President by the National Executive Council (NEC), National Alumni Association, IMT Enugu. Before now Mazi Agodi has visited some other dignitaries in Abuja. 

Those visited on Tuesday, 10th October 2023, the commencement date of the official visits were: the federal Commissioner, representing Ebonyi State at the National Population Commission (NPC), a former member of the Green Chamber in Nigeria, the Federal House of Representative, Hon Darlington Okereke. Another is the former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sir Mike Okiro, and a Registrar at the Supreme Court who doubles as former Chairman, IMT Alumni Chapter, Chief Chris Unigwe.
