BOOM SHOT – “NOT TRYING” “FAILING” AND “FAILURE” ARE POLES APART

“Not trying” is not the same thing as failing and failing is not the same thing as not trying, just as both: Not trying and failing are not the same thing as failure.

It does not take any careful observer much to arrive at the decision that failing does not have any direct bearing with not trying. Not trying or not attempting is entirely a on its own as a dormant, inactive and totally unproductive element. Not trying does not add or contribute any value or worth.

Fact is it does not cause anything to achieve the state of inertia referred to in this piece as not doing anything. It occurs without any real exertion of energy, either physical or of the mind. In the case of failing, the meaning is totally different. Failing involves series of action at different levels and stages of any activities before it occurs. It starts with action and it is sustained by action and ends with action. I can say out rightly and without mincing words that failing unlike “Not trying” “Not attempting” or “Not doing” anything is a contributor and receiver of factors of production. It receives or collects input, and at the same time gives or delivers output one way or the other. Failing, as a matter of fact is a general phenomenon. It is something that happens or occurs to everybody at one point or the other in life. “Failing” in diverse ways and circumstances has being in the business of enriching peoples knowledge, brightening their chances and ideas, and strengthening and sharpening their focus, and challenging their skillset, for both current and future needs.

Failure and failing are co-travellers and positive contributors to a very extent before a major departure that separates them. The party that is described as failing in any assignment  has learnt his/her lessons, identified new opportunities and approaches to doing old things and is having a refreshing look into the future, with a convincingly positive mind set of posting or presenting an improved if  not remarkable result in the next outing.

Please note that the failure is that failure is that individual who has been defeated and has given up. He, she and/or they are not bold enough, skilful, competent and confident enough to pick valuable lessons from their past or previous outing, and if they did pick any are afraid to the point that they are not sure that they can rely on the lessons to take advantage of the future to reinvent themselves and present any valuable thing for the society to appreciate, and reward them for their efforts.

Which of the three categories of "Not trying", "failing" and failure do you belong?
