Prof Mark Chijioke, the First Rector, Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu, is a nonagenarian, a Living Legend and an achiever, accomplished family man and a pacesetter, who in his early forties assumed office as the Rector Institute of Management and Technology Enugu, at inception of the academic institution that was established in 1973, exactly 50 years ago.

The 94 years old retired Administrator  was on September 18, 2023, visited by the National Executive Council (NEC)  of the National Alumni Association, IMT Enugu. The visit which turned emotional at a point was led by the National President of the IMT Enugu Alumni Association, Mazi Dr Agodi Kanu. 

The living Legend, accomplished Grandfather and retired administrator, pacesetter and happy family man received the IMT Enugu Alumni Association NEC with his very dear wife, Dr Mrs Ellen Chijioke.

When the opportunity came, the living Legend Prof. Mark Chijioke, with the wife also contributing took it, and took their visitors  down the memory lane. 

He praised the IMT Enugu Alumni NEC, and the entire Alumni Association for the initiative and offered prayers and blessings. When he was informed about the forthcoming IMT@50 Celebration by Mazi Dr Agodi Kanu, National President of the Association, the highly elated Prof Mark Chijioke, and his wife Dr Mrs Ellen Chijioke did not waste time in accepting to be at the event,  and therefore, promised the NEC to honour the IMT@50 celebration.
