THE PROPOSED MONTH, ACTIVITIES, DAYS AND PERIOD OF THE IMT AT 50 CELEBRATION PROGRAMME UNVEILED BY IMT ENUGU ALUMNI PRESIDENT

 


The recently elected, amiable and hardworking President of the IMT Enugu Alumni Association, Mazi Dr. Agodi Kanu, is working very hard with fellow elected National Executive Council (NEC) members, Branch Executives, Diaspora Vice President, and the recently constituted committees, and other well meaning leaders of thought of the IMT Enugu Alumni, who have since declared their support and readiness to lend their voice, time, energy and other resources in a deliberate move to make the IMT alumni count as an organic and very significant part of the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu community as a dependable partner and reliable stakeholder. 

In view of the above, the alumni of the Great Institute, is through her always ready, committed and widely distributed membership putting heads together at ensuring that a strong partnership exists always between the IMT Enugu alumni on one hand and the Governing Council and the management of the Institute on the other, and in particular to ensure that the two parties work together for a landmark outing when the drums are rolled out towards the end of the year 2023, precisely November, in what has been widely acclaimed a Global event, but tagged "IMT at 50 celebration".

For the reason above therefore, the IMT Enugu Alumni Association, is positioning  effectively towards playing very decisive role at partnering with the IMT Management towards projecting and promoting the visibility, reach and impact of one of the foremost citadel of learning in the country, the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT) Enugu, reputed extensively, far beyond the shores of Nigeria for her long years of positive contributions to the human resource developmental needs of the Society.

The National Executive Council, IMT Alumni which has through the President, Mazi Dr. Kanu, before now set up and activated her various committees through an inauguration exercise in a timely intervention aimed at strengthening activities of the forthcoming IMT at 50 celebration event has in a bid to make the committee functional and keep members on their toes, forwarded the proposed events scheduled to take place in November, and on the basis of that urge the committees to remain committed and resolute about their intentions to leave lasting footprint in the forthcoming IMT at 50 celebration. 

Speaking via a telephone conversation with our correspondent concerning the document he recently released, Mazi Dr. Agodi Kanu, the President, IMT Enugu Alumni Association drew the attention of the various committees on the need to create a supportive environment that will enable even non members of the said committees share their views and make inputs to the committees works. He equally encouraged them to forge ahead in their assignment, waxing very strong and ensure that nothing distracts the committees or dampens their spirit, but instead  use their work to make the coming IMT event a memorable one. 

Continuing with the conversation with our correspondent Mazi Dr. Kanu said: In view of the work of the committees and the coming IMT at 50 celebration, the Association is keenly putting her house in order, and very much aware of the Great Institution whose product we are, we are certain about what we want to deliver, what our contribution or package to the event is and how we wish to play our role to ensure the attainment of the IMT Enugu Alumni self-assigned and self-imposed mandate regarding the forthcoming IMT at 50 celebration.

We are therefore, not leaving any stone unturned in our committed efforts, zeal and untainted resolutions which at all times and circumstances are geared at providing the needed necessary support through strong partnership arrangements with the IMT Governing Council, the school's Management, staff and students. In view of the forthcoming IMT at 50 celebration, our involvement is targeted at partnering actively with the IMT Management for a very great event, Mazi Dr. Agodi Kanu concluded.
