The remains of late Hon Aimu Foni Ndiryizah (Zanna Gaddamma Damaturu) ASP Rtd who slept in the Lord on Aug 3, 2023, have been interred in his country home at Chibok. The internment ceremony which took place on Aug 10, 2023, at his residence after funeral activities, saw the attendance of many people, including family members, other loved ones, the police command and politicians. Others include members of various churches, Grand children, in-laws and their friends who came in large number to pay their last respect to the departed icon, politician, and community leader. He lived for 76 years and was buried Aug 10, 2023.
The late Hon Aimu Foni Ndiryizah, ASP Rtd, also called Baba Chibok by so many admirers because of his undying love and commitment for his people, was unstoppable, very vocal and a mover of crowd, a believer of Christ and a very strong advocate of justice and fair play, who did his best during his life time to portray these attributes as a defender of his people, the oppressed and vulnerable, reason of which they at all times depended on him as their last hope, and he never disappointed.
After retiring from the Nigerian Police at the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), late Hon Aimu Foni Ndiryizah, ASP Rtd, came out of retirement to seek for the mandate of his people through the processes of electioneering campaign and voting proper, and was voted overwhelmingly to represent them at the Borno state house of Assembly, where he was reputed for his people oriented contributions at the floor of the house, and in the performance of his oversight functions while serving as a member of the various committees he was appointed into.
In a statement of appreciation issued by his son, Mr. Aimu Sunday, on behalf of the family after the funeral and burial of the late icon, Mr. Aimu Sunday wrote:
On behalf of the family, we appreciate you for standing by us when we lost our patriarch, Late Hon Aimu Foni Ndiryizah (Zanna Gaddama Damaturu) ASP Rtd.
I have seen a torch of love from your milk of kindness during one of the most difficult moments of my life. You gave your all to ensure the success of our late father's funeral which took place on the 10th August at Chibok, Borno State. May God reward your Labour of love. Bro. Aimu Sunday, on behalf of the family. Earlier before the funeral and burial date, the family had through the same Mr. Aimu Sunday, circulated a document on Tuesday August 8, 2023 bearing the heading:

Body leaves National Hospital Abuja Mortuary by 12:30pm to Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja Tomorrow Wednesday 9th August 2023
Departure from Abuja to Yola 4:15 pm
Arrival at Yola International Airport 5:30 pm
Lying-in-state at his residence in Chibok LGA Borno State by 8:00am -10:00am on 10th August 2023
Funeral Service by EYN Church LCC Gwamba at his residence by 11:00pm
Final internment at his residence
