Jah Put Ah Hand, an International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO), with interest in Agriculture and Agriculture related activities recently held a very elaborate stakeholders engagement meeting with the representatives of communities from the 17 Local Government Areas (LGAs), in Plateau State. In the meeting were also representatives of the various Business Membership Organizations (BMOs) located and operating in the state, in particular those having representation in the different LGAs of Plateau state.
The stakeholders engagement meeting which attracted also the Leadership of women and Persons-With-Disabilities (PWDs) Groups, and others with keen interest in Agriculture; especially, the agric-related valued chain groups.
The massively attended meeting had in attendance the country Director, Jah Put Ah Hand, in Nigeria, Mr. Yashim, from Abuja, who came along with two members of his team for the result oriented and impact driven stakeholders engagement meeting, described by him as encouragingly refreshing, interestingly heartwarming, and well attended. He noted precisely that the deliberation in Jos the Plateau State capital produced worthy outcomes, most of which were in line with the set objectives of the organization he represents in Nigeria as the country Director.
The stakeholders engagement meeting in most part sort to identify the real constraints that the farmers in Plateau State encountered with emphasis on the agriculture interventions offered by both the public and private sector actors that have operated or are still operating in the state.
To achieve the objectives of the day's exercise, the event facilitator, ensured that the participants of the stakeholders engagement meeting in Jos, the Plateau State capital worked in group to draw out the challenges that farmers and farmer related groups, including the Co-operative societies in the state face with the various Agric and Agric related intervention Projects in Plateau State.
