STILL ON MIGRATING ENTERPRISING PEOPLE TO BECOME ENTREPRENEURS

In a previous post, one of the four letters that made up the four letters in MSMEs, the first "M" representing Micro segment of the Enterprises was briefly discussed. In that post the Micro business operators were described not as entrepreneurs but enterprising people.

After that publication, many of you that honoured us with your calls paid glowing tribute to the effort. Some prayed for us even. We say thank you for your prayers, kind words are encouragement. 

Some of the callers, mostly MSMEs, were  categorical in their appreciation of the content of that publication. They noted in particular two specific things. One of it is what they consider elaborate information contained in the link that supported that publication. 

According to the callers, they were highly elated by the idea of breaking it down (the classification of MSMEs), for them. The other thing they noted is the brief explanation given about the Micro segment of the MSMEs, particularly the Sole ownership structure. They quickly made specific reference to the "One Man Show" attribute identified as one major trait that characterize the operations of Micro businesses. They confirm that this attribute is glaringly manifested by many of them. Some of them said "we are quilty of it, while others preferred to say "we are guilty as charged". 

The callers were unanimous in their conclusion that the publication provided opportunity for them to enrich their knowledge and enhance their basic understanding of the content/issues the publication sort to address.

We are particularly very happy with all the callers, and are glad to state that we took special notice of the fact that all of them said they now know the exact segment of MSMEs they belong, but importantly that they understand the measurement criteria they used to arrive at it. 

For us, two very interesting things arose from the above. First is the fact that the callers conducted the assessment (self-assessment), and without the prompting of anybody else, but on their own volition passed the judgement as to the segment they belong. But this is not even the gist, that they settled by themselves that they are in the Micro segment is. You can call it self-confession.

The second thing that emerged from the callers is the open request for more. We recognize this as seeking for "continuous or more enlightenment and capacity building" from us. 

To that request we say thank you for the great honour done us, to which we have willingly, honourably and overwhelmingly stepped out to announce our acceptance to so gladly do that by stating that this platform from the onset was dedicated for MSMEs development and all other related matters.

Having said that, it has become indeed very necessary to say that we appreciate  a lot all the verbal communications with our highly esteemed readers, but wish to underscore the fact that a lot more will be achieved if we learn to communicate through the platform. On the strength of this, we appeal to you to always feel free to deposit in writing, your contributions, opinions and comments  regarding our publications on this platform, especially those you feel are for public good and consumption, using the commentary box provided at the end of every publication.

When you do, other readers will benefit from them, and are equally moved to deposit theirs. This way we are building a community, filled with family members that share freely with other community members. Much more will be achieved if we work more as a community.
