I NEED HEALING... says the Lord's General

* I am a child of affliction,

Whose sickness has gone beyond medical prescriptions.

A son of perdition,

With no hope, and to problems, no solution.

At birth, I was given a sweet name,

But am like the man at the beautiful gate, lame,

And in the public view, ashamed.

To me life has lost its meaning, and emotions its feelings,

So I say, "I need healing."

* I need healing from SIN,

Whose wind has blown me away in different spins.

Its clutches has deprived me from seeing light, that I now see darkness,

And with its heaviness, I am inflicted with weakness.

Its warm embrace has covered my faith that I now live a life of faithlessness,

Which has made me a bench warmer and not a witness.

Oh! How much pain from deep within,

So I say, "I need healing."

* I need healing from the "I" syndrome,

Who came as a friend but has bonded me with shackles that I have no hope of freedom.

The man "I" like a thief has stolen away my wisdom,

And its bosom friend Pride has taken me from top to bottom,

That I remain speechless therein,

So I say, "I need healing."

* I need healing from my TONGUE,

Been a wild animal that cannot be tamed has driven me into speaking wrong,

That anytime I am opportune, I speak evil instead of new songs.

The tongue has made me see no need of saying, "Christ is the King of the North, East, West and South",

And ears cannot imagine the words of my mouth.

The tongue like a friendly enemy is deceitful,

Making me think that every word I utter is wise and thoughtful.

Since the tongue has made me not to say, "Jesus is the King",

I need healing.

* I need healing all round,

To become a hero and not a clown,

Wearing an angelic crown.

I need healing to redefine my crooked smile,

In order to leave a legacy that is worthwhile.

I need healing to be free,

So I run to Calvary's tree.

BRIEF ABOUT PRINCE EMMANUEL CHIKAODILI UMAHI

Born Prince Emmanuel Chikaodili Umahi popularly known as De General (for the Lord) is a Jos born and bred rapper who started music at an early stage in Primary 3; prior to that, he had started learning how to play the drums.

Prince Emmanuel is not just a Hiphop Artist, but also a Writer and Poet which he fuses into his music. He has worked and has been featured on a number of songs such as:

The song, "Eucharistia" was a joint project between him and Precious Ajayi which was an exceptional fusion of Hiphop and Jazz that preaches the word of thankfulness and gratitude to God, (will be on this Platform very soon)

To the Lord’s General and Prince, who ones said during an interview “My music is for CHRIST’s edification”, informed reporters who interviewed him recently, in Jos, that his style of music is a combination of Poetry, Education and Rhythm and are centered on the glorification of God and the education of Man.
