The Management of Belford
Institute Consultants, operators of the foremost Business School, in Jos, the Belford
Business Institute has signed a contract, as implementing partner of the Central
Bank of Nigeria Entrepreneurship programme.
The contract, which was signed at
about 3.30pm (Thursday) today, 9th, March 2017, in Jos, the Plateau
state capital, is aimed among other things to raise new generation of
Entrepreneurs in the North Central Zone of Nigeria, who at the completion of
the programme will be linked to start up/expansion funds from the bank of
industry (BOI), CBN-MSMEs loan and Micro-finance banks upon submission of a bankable
business plan.
In a brief statement, after the contract
was signed, Mr. Lucky Onmonya, of the African Community Bridge Foundation, facilitator
of the contract said:
“This contract is signed pursuant
to the realization of the noble objectives of the Central Bank of Nigeria
Entrepreneurship programme, in the North Central Zone of Nigeria, aimed among
other things to raise a new generation of very skillful Entrepreneurs and
businessmen/women in the Zone. Through the Central Bank Entrepreneurship
programme the CBN wishes to create more jobs through value chain activities and
other linkage opportunities that abound, in addition to poverty reduction and
improvement in the living condition of the citizens.
“With the signing of this
contract, Belford Institute Consultants, operators of Belford Business
Institute, Jos, has been mandated to mobilize, admit and train those willing to
undergo the Central Bank of Nigeria Entrepreneurship Development programme, under
the Central Bank of Nigeria Entrepreneurship Center, code named CBN-EDC programme,
expected to take off immediately.
“With your outstanding record and
wealth of experience in entrepreneurship and business development, the hope is
that Belford will add value to the programme, as well as be of immense benefits
to the would be participants of the programme and the Nigerian economy as a
whole.
In his reaction to the above
development, the management of Belford, led by Mr. Nnabugwu Chizoba, after
thanking the facilitator, and his team for finding Belford, worthy of driving
the CBN-EDC programme in Jos, used the opportunity to invite residents of Jos
and Plateau state in general to rise up and embrace the programme, expected to impact
the state significantly, considering its capacity to transform the way and manner
entrepreneurs and businessmen/women in Plateau state are groomed and launched
into the business world.
Mr. Nnabugwu Chizoba, also used
the opportunity to inform the Public that the certificate awarded to grandaunts
at the end of the programme, is issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria, and is indispensable
when applying for either the star-up or expansion loan at the end of the
programme.
