♫ Welcome to my country Nigeria
Where you can gain the very best in any
form of media.
People kept imagining our level of
progression,
Despite they said that we were in a state
of “Economic Recession”,
Which should have brought about massive
retrogression,
But the entire world marveled at what they
saw on the screens of their television.
Having progressed in many dimensions of
the economy
We were awarded with awards after been
various nominees.
♫ Been a growing population of over 160 million,
Every Nigerian is regarded as a hero and a
champion.
We may have our odd times,
But we still pull out strong and great
like Albert Einstein.
Though there might be a grand devaluation
in our Naira,
We still have utmost believe in a new era.
We stay strong in our diversity
Despite our indifference in ethnicity.
♫ Having over 250 languages,
You can still picture a perfect unified
family image.
Having moving from military rule to
democracy,
God liberated us from every form of
obstinacy.
Having gained independence on October 1st,
1960
Life became like a soothing music
regardless of a remix.
During the civil war of 1967,
We
made endless prayers to heaven.
♫ Also, in 1963 we became a
republic
And we had learnt more morals more than our
major linguistic.
Life in our entity was futuristic
With many meanings to our traditional
music.
We
kept hoping for rainy days
Where the harvest would be bumper and our
lips would have endless praise.
And when we heard that the war drums
were been played,
We sought everlasting peace, so we
prayed.
We kept pressing on for the utmost
heights,
Though the way will be rough, and hard
the fight,
We still saw the glorious glowing of
our nation’s light.
♫ Despite all we’ve been through,
And all our struggles,
We still going to step out great
As an artist with the highest rate.
So we’re going to stand out and stand tall
And victory will
be written on our castle wall.
So come rain and sunshine,
We’ll never step behind the line.
So in the words of Gen. Yakubu Gowon,
“Go On With One Nigeria”.
I’m proud to be called a NIGERIAN.
