“WE HAVE SO MANY NON-SALARIED ADVISERS FOR WHICH, WE ARE SINCERELY APPRECIATIVE”…GOVERNOR LALONG

Nnabugwu Chizoba
In his continuing efforts at developing Plateau State through good governance and delivery of democratic dividends, the Governor of Plateau State, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, has strengthened his administration in the state, by swearing-in the four Special Advisers, recently appointed by him.

Delivering his address during the occasion, held at the banquet hall, of new government house in Rayfield, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau, the Governor Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong, spoke eloquently and glaringly that he knows the expectations of Professionals in the state, when he said categorically:

“I am not un-mindful of the fact that expectations are high from the array of professionals our State is endowed with. The several pieces of advice I have received from Senior Citizens of the State, bears eloquent testimony to the fact that, we are running a government that is people oriented and people monitored. The value of the mandate we hold, is strengthened by the fact that our citizens are concerned about how government is run, and that they will not with-hold any worthy input that will help the Rescue Administration stay on course. We can therefore as a government say without mincing words that we have so many non-salaried Advisers and for this, we are sincerely appreciative of it”.

In a tone that more or less calls for support for the newly sworn-in Special Advisers and his government, Governor Lalong charged citizens in the state, to work hand in hand with the Special Advisers, and urged all to give meaningful contributions to them that will help to move the state forward.

On the strength of this, the Governor, therefore said:

“To our citizens, you must see the advisers as our feedback loop in Government, so that while they intensify backward linkage with you as professionals and seasoned administrators in the State, your suggestions and contributions will encourage their constant contact with my office. Our participatory Governance Policy is open door, and the earlier we take advantage of every opportunity that we make as a government to accentuate this, the better it will be for us as a people”.

As a mark of honour and in recognition of the quality of people, he (the governor), appointed as Special Advisers to compliment the efforts of his administration in the state, Governor Lalong noted:
“These set of Advisers that have been sworn-in, have no doubt earned their place, having served meritoriously in their various professional callings”.
