FAILURE: THE STRENGTH AND COMPANION OF THE SUCCESS MINDED

Life is full of mysteries, secrets and indeed too many unknowns. At one extreme, is the fact, that some of the things, we consider as truth, at a point in life, turns out to be falsehood. At the other extreme is the realization that the things we saw as lies eventually turn out to be truth. 

The above assertion is aptly captured, when we carefully consider the bashing that failure has received in the hands of men and women, in spite of the tremendous role it has played to take people to the apex, up the ladder of success.

I suggest that you pause at this point, to review the lofty contributions that failure has made in the life of men and women, the world has celebrated and continues to celebrate as great success, icons, outstanding celebrities, and achievers.

 Truth is, until you do that, you may not in the interim truly understand, appreciate and/or unmask how important failure is, to our life, as actors and actresses in this planet earth, and of course, may not embrace failure, its potential, and attributes, as basic necessity, or frankly speaking, a steady partner, a working companion and a regular guest, whenever achievement, attainment of worthwhile goals, true advancement, break through, shattering of records, living a mark, and as a matter of fact, success of enviable height and magnitude, is a subject of discuss and great consideration. 

I make bold to say, success and failure are twins littered in one day.  Failure exists and is always present to compliment and complete the journey of the success minded. This is a matter for serious consideration. 

While you take your time to ruminate over the aforesaid, let me provide you with a working tool, which I belief is necessary, for this discourse. In this regard, I wish to live you with this fundamental truth, a foothold, aimed at giving a clear direction, an indication that failure is not be what you think it is. Consider this “success comes from rapidly fixing our mistakes rather than getting things right first time”. 

Those who take failure, for what it is not, are yet to come to terms, with the fact that true Life has two sides, earnestly speaking, two stories. On the one hand, is the narrative, the deceptive story, which is constantly projected to the world, and unfortunately embraced, line and sinker by the ignoramus and weak minded. 

On the other hand, lies the messier, the hidden, the truth, the fact, which is known only by the few success minded the indisputable fact that failure is the strength and steady companion of the success driven, the positive minded and true achievers.

Growing up, I had course to bemoan, the outcome of a particular endeavor that I embarked upon. I detested the outcome, so much, that the inner pressure that it produced or rather generated was a regular torment, and almost a decider for any step I took, afterwards. 

In the state of mind I found myself, anger was always knocking, as it practically took the better of me. I was greatly disturbed. It was as if the whole world had crumbled on my head. As you would wish, from then on, I made no attempt to engage in anything, I reasoned would destabilize my mood. Guess you understand what that really means?

My thinking and the feeling I had then was that the unwanted visitor, enemy of all, a parasite and destroyer, an attaché with no value or positive attribute, had secretly, crippled into my life. So I thought then, and still does, until very recently, when I came to terms with the wisdom of Ages that FAILURE is not what the world had made me think and belief it is. 

It is only then that I openly embraced FAILURE for what it truly is; and allowed it to walk majestically into my life. Low and behold, what came into my life and along with FAILURE, became what I have been searching for all these years - SUCCESS and JOY that has eluded many people, who have not embraced FAILURE as a working tool.

I am pretty sure that many people that have passed through similar situation, like me, at one point or the other, felt the same way I did, and many still do, while very many others are in this state of mind, and still belief in the lies told against FAILURE, which is that it is an unwanted visitor that possessed all the negative qualities, some of them, I already mentioned in a preceding paragraph. 

As I suggested in the early paragraph, the trick is to not wait for the moment or the inspiration, that will throw up the catch that opens the door of success, but to be working, accepting mistakes and failures that come in-between, and rapidly making the necessary adjustments and let those moments of spark and monumental rewards and outcome happen while you are working.
