Continuing, she stated that the school has been coming out victorious in all the invitational sporting events, taken part in, both in the past and at the present. Apart from winning laurels at invitational events, the school, has also been doing well in other sporting competitions, she added. Before concluding her address, she enjoined the competitors to play by the rules, and equally reminded them that at the end of the sporting competition, like any other, aggregated result of the competition will be announced and winners will emerge. She said “In every competition, there is always a winner and those that will be defeated. I therefore, beseech would be winners of the today, to be magnanimous in victory, and in this regard, celebrate their victory in such a way that those who did not win are not slighted or mocked. As for those who may not win, I urge you to accept defeat in good faith, because tomorrow is another day”.

Finally, she used the opportunity to thank the Vicar of St’ Piran’s Church, Ven E.J. Gongden and the entire leadership of the Church for their wonderful support of the School in their programmes, including academic and sports.
