CULTURE REGENERATION: HUMANISTIC LEADERSHIP, IMPERATIVE FOR SUSTAINABLE GOVERNANCE IN A CHALLENGING SOCIETY

The climate of darkness has hovered unceasingly and threaten the existence of Nigeria within the ambit of the Common Wealth of Nations. What all these adds up is the combination of disasters, failures and general apathy in value system, quality and service delivery. There is a gigantic gap between human worth and the tenets of social conditioning, policy framework and policy implementation, rhetoric and realities, service and reward, and ethical rectitude and the general apprehension. 

In every facet of human dynamics, Nigerians are seemingly on a collision course with true values, nature and existence itself. They are very corrupt, ignoble and greedy from the head et membris.

Nigeria is the most endowed nation of the world, having virtually all natural resources in abundance. Ranging from crude oil, solid minerals, wild life, pristine woodlands, biological diversity and multifarious niche of life. It is geographically placed to enjoy the best weather condition including annual rainfall, friendly temperature range and aesthetical landscape and natural sites for tourism.

The ecological capital support all season food production and cultivation of diverse food and cash crops. In the South West swamp forest are the large presence of Iroko and Mahogany trees, exotic berries and wild fruits. The South South region is endlessly endowed. Every region is peculiar in a number of ways and also richly endowed.

Nigerians are descendants of great civilization, heroes and societies of pre-historic origin. People, undoubtedly enriched with multi-cultural gifts. The average Nigerian understands the challenges and outright history of imperial colonization, neo colonialism and emergent black induced colonialism, consideration and remuneration, caballing and various forms of loose living in capite et membris of the society pose serious threats to the survival, growth and stability of the nation.

All along there has been talks of reformation, transformation and change slogan by the various administrations, yet no visible improvements are effected. 

The leaders have perfected strategies of wrecking the system and exploiting the society. Without ratio Humana, they exaggerate their capacity, conspire, condone and connive with each cabal group to form political alliance with a mandate to steal, share and deprive the country of her resources. 

They are courageous to parade themselves as Potified criminals, rogues and debased elements. To an extent, they prefer to pretend as if they do not possess the slightest conscience. They use the state apparatus to jettison any opposition to their abysmal business.
